On Camp -  «It’s good because it’s awful».

“I will make this film with bad acting like in “The Room”, overacting like in “Rocky Horror Picture Show”, all of a sudden singing like in a Bollywood film and a sci-fi-like bad story like in “The Mysterians””.
A short absurd film inspired by Susan Sontag’s essay “Notes on Camp”.

Camp, as Susan Sontag noted, is an aesthetic sensibility. It is more complex than a “subjective” look because it is a codified way of looking. It appreciates the artificiality of art, inverts the aesthetics of beauty, and strips the work of its political/social/cultural context.
