Two steel sculptures, water, black dye

Play Ground II is a second iteration of Play Ground, revisiting the Soviet-era architecture of my childhood. Two steel sculptures (a swing and a seesaw) are reconstructed from memory, based on the standardised playgrounds common across Ukraine and the former USSR. As in Play Ground, they are fabricated only as top halves and stand in black water that floods the gallery, so they appear submerged: ghostly, neither functional nor fully abandoned, caught between use and obsolescence.
